Welcome to Sanso Tōda,
an upcoming wellness retreat in the mountains of Fukuoka, Japan.
Sanso Tōda is a 230-year-old ryokan (traditional Japanese lodging) currently undergoing a full renovation.
Our vision is to preserve the historical architecture while offering amenities designed for world-class guest stays and retreats, all in harmony with the surrounding natural beauty.
Our opening is planned in the following stages, subject to change:
April – June 2025: Parking lot open for hikers and nature lovers (COMPLETE)
July – August 2025: Summer outdoor café offering shaved ice, cold drinks, and select goods (COMPLETE)
May 2026: Booking becomes available
March 2027: Soft Open
April 2027: Open for multi-day retreats and overnight stays
